HearthworksTerms of Service
Effective October 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of Hearth, the household assistant service provided by Hearthworks ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
The beta
Hearth is an invite-only beta. Features may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn, and we may end the beta or your access at any time. We will try to give you notice and a chance to export your data. During the beta, automated tools review conversations and assistant activity to find and fix problems, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your account
You sign in with Apple, and you are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your devices secure. You must be an adult to use the Service. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your assistant and your approvals
- Your assistant uses AI. It can make mistakes, misunderstand requests, or produce inaccurate information. Please check anything important.
- Actions that leave your assistant, such as sending messages, creating or changing events, or making purchases, are presented to you for approval unless you have chosen to grant standing permission for that kind of action. You are responsible for the actions you approve or permit.
- Hearth is not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing it says is legal, medical, financial or tax advice.
Your content
You keep all rights to your content and data. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it only as needed to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to break the law, harm or harass others, send spam, infringe others' rights, access data you're not authorized to access, or interfere with or attempt to circumvent the Service's security or safeguards.
Connected services
When you connect a third-party service (such as Google), your use of that service is also governed by its own terms. You can disconnect it at any time.
Fees
The beta is provided without charge unless we agree otherwise with you in writing. We will tell you in advance before introducing any fees.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hearthworks will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.
Ending your use
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can download your data and delete your account yourself in the app or on the web (Settings › Your data); deletion pauses your assistant at once and becomes permanent after a 7-day period during which you can cancel. What is deleted, and what is kept, is described in our Privacy Policy. Download anything you want to keep first: once deletion is complete it cannot be undone. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms or to protect the Service or its users.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
